OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

Addressing the Skilled Woman Labour Shortage

Recognizing industry wide challenges is a hallmark of a forward thinking organization. One of the most pressing hurdles in construction today is the critical shortage of skilled labour  particularly the underrepresentation of women. While women constitute approximately 47% of the overall workforce they account for only about 10-14% of the construction industry with an even smaller percentage in skilled trade roles .This shortage is not merely a numbers issue it signifies a vast pool of untapped talent diverse perspectives and innovation that the industry desperately needs. The barriers to women's participation in construction are well documented
